High Pressure Drain Cleaning and Hydro-Jetting

SewerTech’s high pressure hydro-jetting technology can be used for a variety of pipe cleaning applications in many industries when a standard cable machine is no longer effective.

Multi-Applications - The most common usage involves drain cleaning, storm drain maintenance, prepping sewer lines for video inspections, pipe repairs , cleaning roof vent pipes or new construction flushing.

Hydro jetting, also called Sewer Jetting, is the one of most effective and efficient processes for cleaning clogged drain and blocked sewer lines in commercial properties & businesses, especially if the underground drain & sewer lines have accumulated debris, sand or dirt, has hardened grease or involves a long length of pipe.

Regulatory & Surcharge Protection

Drain & Sewer Sampling and Regulations

Every water connection has a drain connection. Commercial business are subject to urban wastewater rules & regulations for drain discharges. SewerTech experts have extensive, environmental & health experience in drain & sewer discharge challenges that commercial properties and business will face.

Cities and municipalities have historically monitored and sampled commercial drain discharges, followed by a special surcharge fee added to the monthly water fee.

  • Sample Well- for many industries, a mandatory sample well is installed & connected to the main sewer drain line. The sample well allows government officials to have easy access to take a monthly, quarterly or surprise sample of the effluent quality using a portable sampling machine. A report is prepared and a surcharge fine or fee is accessed.
  • Automation, IOT Sensors- in the near future, cities and municipalities will increasingly monitor drain & sewer discharges with low-cost, inline wifi measuring systems. Many industries are installing automatic units “in-house” as a way to combat & confirm the increasing government monitoring surcharge fines & fees.
  • Violation Penalty- many business have been shocked by the assessed surcharge penalty, and the alarmed by the 2nd fee warning if a drain discharge violation was repeated.

SewerTech’s subscription model is designed to protect & prevent your business drain & sewer connection. We offer a FREE assessment and the practical steps to help your business succeed.

Commercial Lift Stations & Pump Repairs

A lift station, also called a pump station, is an underground pit (called a “wet well”) that’s connected to the underground sewer network and equipped with special pumps, electronics, water leveling and a monitoring system. A lift station is a critical asset in a sewer network.

  • Purpose - Lift stations have one purpose: to pump and move raw sewage or storm water thru a sewer collection system, often from a lower elevation to a higher or when long distance restricts gravity flow engineering.
  • Maintenance - A properly operated lift station is the key to keep raw sewage and/or storm water flowing thru the underground sewer network. Failure of a lift station system is often the result of a poor mechanical maintenance, a clogged pump or a power failure.

Many commercial properties have both storm drains and main sanitary sewer lines flowing into a lift station to keep wastewater flowing off the property and on to the connected municipal sewer collection system. Should a lift station backup, it will cause the entire sewer line to stop draining and will likely overflow, causing an environmental pollution crisis.

We Support Plumbers & Mechanical Contractors

SewerTech often will support a plumber or mechanical contractor who chooses to subcontract this type of specialty service, and knowing that may require or recommend hydro jetting (flush) the connecting (in and out) sewer lines.

Lift Station Maintenance

We are lift station experts, knowing any stoppage is serious and can also impact public health, disrupt normal business and impair relationships with tenants or their quests. In many areas, a local health inspector could be notified if a failure occurs. The failure of the lift station requires a specialty expert to respond quickly and diagnose the cause:

  • Pump Failure - often a submersible pump will clog due to wipes, female products, grease or debris
  • Electrical - if the power supply shuts down, the pump cannot function
  • Mechanical - a lift station has many functioning parts that may malfunction

New Construction Drain Pipe Flushing

SewerTech offers new construction drain pipe flushing to ensure all drain lines are in proper working order.

  • New Ordinances - During construction of a commercial building, it is very common for drain pipes to become filled with construction debris, sand or soil. Increasingly, many new ordinances or building owner inspectors will require a general or subcontractor to have the new drain line pipes to be flushed by a sewer jetting unit before an occupancy permit is issue.
  • Grand Opening - Our team has rescued a major shopping mall who experienced a grand opening crisis, as well as many retail, restaurant and warehouse properties.

We work with contractors and help new hi-rise buildings, warehouses or any commercial property prevent a grand opening crisis from occurring due to blocked drains.

Landscape Drains & Storm Pavers

"We'll Keep Your Property Dry"

Professional Landscape Drains

Our Houston area has heavy downpours. Whether you’re a home, business or commercial property, landscape drains are essential in capturing and controlling water flow during heavy rainfall. We only install heavy rainfall drainage systems, often after basic gravity-flow landscape drains failed. We provide an array of professional drainage solutions:

  • Engineered, Heavy Downpour Pump Drains
  • Parking Lot Runoff Drains and Catch Basins
  • Sump Pump Pits & Dry Well Systems
  • French Drains & Dry Creek Drainage
  • Driveway Trench Drains
  • Gutter Downspout Drains
  • Heavy Downpour Yard Drain Boxes
  • Grading & Swales

Permeable “Storm Pavers” & Drainage Driveways

Permeable surfaces or driveways, using porous pavers and landscape material, allow water to pass through openings or voids making the likelihood of flooding much lower. In the City of Houston, for both homes and commercial properties, storm water fees are assessed based on non-porous surfaces. Reducing these fees and the risk of flooding is attracting a lot of attention to new design ideas:

  • Porous Parking Spaces
  • Drainage Driveways
  • Drainage Walkways
